Comparisons with Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Juventus supertsar Cristiano Ronaldo do not bother Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
The Chelsea forward, who scored the winning goal against a tough Liverpool side on Wednesday in Football League cup fixture, said comparisons with Ronaldo and Messi were not a matter of concern for him and that winning is all he cares about.
When asked if he would like to equal Messi and Ronaldo statistically, Hazard said he did not want that. “I don’t have a set goal target. All I want is to win a trophy this season, that is a priority,” the Chelsea star said.
He added that everyone was talking about him because he has been scoring a lot of goals of late. Hazard said he aims to score a lot of goals during the next 3-4 years which he believes are his peak years and wants to make a unique brand of himself.
The 27-year-old has scored a total of 5 goals in 6 games in the premier league this season. Chelsea will face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at 9:30pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) tomorrow (Saturday).
